Here are the rules. Must be a two vehicle garage. You have $19,000 as your budget, and the list prices of the vehicles cannot exceed that budget! * Bonus Challenge : Three vehicle garage, $19k budget, all vehicles must be from model year 2010 and up. Also, must be within 300 miles of you. *
Feel free to do any or both of the garages. As always, enjoy yo’selves!
For me, I’ll take a chance on this !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . No mileage listed but it’s at $4,400.
This
!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!
has 91k miles and is listed at $11,500.
This !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! has about 3,750 miles on it for $2,800.
That will put me at $18,700.

I’ll take a flier on this Suzuka Blue S2000 for $5000. Needs work, which I understand, but it’s June and pics with snow in the background make me hesitant.
http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/mld/cto/563843…
Next, for a good weather DD I’ll go with this 1996 Prelude VTEC in rare green-over-tan-leather guise (although the black front seats seem be from a 5th gen). I’ll negotiate down to around $3000.
http://richmond.craigslist.org/cto/5639631682…
Lastly, for winter things I’ll go with this 1998 Land Cruiser for $8500.
http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/mld/cto/561294…
Total budget is $16,500. I'll use the remaining $2500 to start working on the S.

Without putting too much work into it and presuming I had to pay asking price and buy locally right this second:
2002 Porsche Boxster S - $11,500 - http://reno.craigslist.org/cto/5605569722…
1993 Chevy S10 w/ V8 swap - $5,800 - http://reno.craigslist.org/cto/5608338234…
1990 Yama XT350 - $1,500 - http://reno.craigslist.org/mcy/5642394905…
With the exception of not having a family car, that’s a great combination of awesomeness. The Boxster S is a great sports car that can be daily driven. Any of its weaknesses are addressed with the S10. Plus there’s money left over for an enduro to have off-road adventures.

Ex-RCMP CVPI - $3800 CAD
http://www.kijiji.ca/v-cars-trucks/…
Kia Soul - $4800 CAD
http://www.kijiji.ca/v-cars-trucks/…
Dodge Dart - $12000
http://www.kijiji.ca/v-cars-trucks/…
All adds up to $20,600 CAD, or $16035.50 US.
With the extra money left over, I can buy this kickass snowmobile for the same price as the CVPI, actually.

Damn, I really wanted to do the Bonus challenge but I don’t live in the US, so I will use the craigslist from my country:
Something for off roading:
Suzuki Jimny 2010 US$6690:
http://www.yapo.cl/coquimbo/autos…
Something Fun:
Alfa Romeo MiTo US$10880:
http://www.yapo.cl/region_metropo…
That means I have US$1430 left, so have whatever this thing is for US$1200:

I’m with you on the game.
BUT. The Impala. Really? It’s reliable, sure, but literally any other car at the same price point is so much better it’s not even funny. These things are basically rocking 1998 interiors, I’m not sure how people put up with them every day.

I only got one car newer than 2010 but I think I’ve got a well rounded fleet.

2010 Volvo S40 2.4i 96K miles $9888
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
2010 Saab 9-3 2.0T 90K miles $9500
A 2010 Ford Focus and a 2010 Opel Vectra. A bit above price spec, but I’m sure we can talk down the remaining $388. After all, who wants two extra pseudo-Swedish cars sitting around their lot anyways?

Good choice, I like both despite their underpinnings.

Yeah, I always thought a better way to think of them wasn't as a BMW competitor but as a Focus or Vectra that was just a bit nicer. All the convenience and ease of having a family car but just a bit more style and comfort.

I agree, especially since they virtually cost the same after depreciation as well.
They’re not full on luxury cars, but they are the thinking man’s family car.
